“I have known Monica for nearly 10 years. During this time I have watched her transform many horses and horse people. She has an innate ability to know what a horse needs and how to help them find balance and peace. Monica is amazing with horses! I can’t wait to see what she does moving forward...”

"Monica is an exceptional trainer and instructor in so many ways! I've made incredible progress since I started taking lessons and put my horse in training with her a few months ago.

It's rare to find a trainer that is exceptional at both riding and instruction, but Monica has that combination. The transformation in my horse is amazing - he is soft and relaxed through movements in a way that I've never seen before. She has helped improve my skill and knowledge by breaking down complex concepts to make sure I understand the context as well as how to tactically apply it to my riding.

Monica is a challenging but fun instructor; I'm encouraged to push myself because I know she is supportive when I inevitably make mistakes. I leave every lesson more inspired about riding and building a better partnership with my horse!

I highly recommend Monica to anyone, from those wanting the basics to those wanting to move up the levels as a competitive dressage rider."

"Monica did an amazing job teaching my weanling the basics of haltering, leading, crossties, and trailer Loading. She has a kindness and patience the horses find confidence in allowing them to learn quickly. I wish she was closer to me in NJ!"

I met Monica thru a mutual friend who is a board certified chiropractor specializing in sports medicine and myofascial release.  This therapy has literally been a game changer for me.  When I learned Monica offered similar treatment for horses I knew I had to try her, and Monica did not disappoint.  I had her perform bodywork on both my mare and standard poodles.  Her knowledge of quadruped anatomy and biomechanics, along with the techniques she uses to get deep into the muscle is helping to heal injured and/or locked tissue and is clearly improving the quality of their lives.  There is no mistaking the changes in my animals since Monica has started working with them.  My one standard poodle who has had a number of injuries, and is an epileptic, is now moving more freely and is happier.  Tails don’t lie.  When he sees Monica he quickly leaps on the grooming table, which never happens when it is time for grooming.  My mare is so responsive to Monica’s touch, she spends the entire session releasing tension by stretching and yawning.  This mare has become so expressive, she practically shows Monica where she is holding tension.  Monica has also worked a little with my younger standard poodle, who although is mostly fine (a rambunctious growing pup), has benefited from having a stranger handle her in ways she had not been before.  Monica pointed out how my pup had slightly over developed muscles in just one hind leg, which she concluded could be caused by my allowing her to leap into my truck from only one angle (she noticed this detail when I put her in the truck after treatment.  Important to be mindful of, as balanced strength helps avoid injuries.) Most recently I’ve started to have Monica ride my mare to help improve her gaits and self carriage.  This was not a little problem.  My horse had become crooked, and most recently had begun to hollow out under saddle.  I found my mare often rushing out from under me in response to my aides instead of engaging with confidence and strength.  Monica has been riding her for almost a month.  The improvements have been incremental but noticeable.  My mare looks fantastic, and although still a little sticky (these things take time), there is no denying she is starting to use her body correctly.  You can actually see the muscles in the wall of her abdominal sling working as Monica is working with her.  Monica is the real deal guys… she is a very talented trainer for both horses and riders, and a highly skilled bodywork clinician.  When we discuss the animals I am often reminded of several international trainers I have had the good fortune to know and train with in the past.  We are very lucky to have her here with us on the east coast!

I am getting ready to send a second horse to Monica to train, so I feel comfortable in saying that I am pleased with her work. The first horse I sent her had never been backed, but is now doing dressage work. She was a rescue who needed a soft hand and clear instruction. Monica came through for her and she has blossomed. This second horse is nearly an opposite of the first. He is also a rescue, but had been ridden for years by less than kind riders. He has developed resistance and avoidance techniques rather than partnering with his rider. I didn't understand this until I had Monica come out to do an assessment ride on him and within minutes I could see the start of a difference with my horse. He nearly melted in her hands and you could see him trying to figure out the right answers rather than just shouting No. I look forward in seeing what she can do with him.

Monica is an amazing trainer. She really partners with each individual horse and adapts her methods to their specific needs. I have sent several horses to her to be started or restarted under saddle and am always thrilled with the results. I've also taken lessons with her both on her horses and mine. She really understands communication and balance and has helped me to become a better rider. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trainer.
